I think murder is a state crime so the president has no ability to pardon that act.
They rule on cases. The case had to do with Trump obeying laws. Why do people think it applies to a case that hasn’t come before the court?
We know they would rule against Biden if he tried this.
Pushing this is a possibility:

According to my link, the proposed amendment has no chance of getting the needed congressional supermajority. But what if there was a clause exempting Trump? I doubt that one is ever going to jail, amendment or no amendment.

You are almost certainly correct. But I didn’t specify exempting Biden, just Trump. So it would be tempting to the GOP.
As to how this benefits Biden, only in historical reputation.
As to the chance of it being used against Biden, I think ratification would take too long.

When they ruled that Colorado could not keep Trump off the ballot because congress had passed no law implementing the insurrection clause of Amendment XIV.
IMHO- that was a correct ruling. Can you imagine what could happen if it wasnt? Some deeply red state deciding that the Dem candidate cant be on the ballot- for reasons. Note that trump was never convicted of any such crimes.
