# How can Estrada answer Democrats' questions if they don't ask?

Since you did not address the issue, I’ll presume you agree that your use of Ramirez as an example of the “liberal” views of the _Los Angeles Times_ is completely ludicrous.

Right. Still, the fact the this cartoon even appeared in the L.A Times ought to be of concern to Democrats IMHO.

You might be right. OTOH I wonder if you see things from the point of view of an minority. Speaking personally, if either political party were playing this sort of nasty game with the potential first Jewish Supreme Court justice, I would be fully aware and pretty ticked off. When the Hispanic votes in 2004 are counted, then we’ll have an idea of just how much impact this filibuster had.
