# How can I get candle wax out of a carpet?

How can I get candle wax out of a carpet, quite urgent!!!

I suggest that you try using an iron and waxed paper/blotting paper.

[This method](http://doityourself.com/clean/candlewax.htm) is more thorough, and does a better job than the iron-and-paper method alone. Rubbing alcohol is mostly isopropyl (typically 70%) and works well for this purpose in the final step.
