I’ll second that! In addition to changing your rip destination to D:, I recommend that you clear up a gig or two of free space on C:. Move stuff to D: if necessary. Your system will thank you in a big way!

Thank you everyone for your help. I was going to free up some more space on my C: drive, but a family emergency kept me in the ER for most of the night (don’t worry… everyone’s OK now). I’ll work on freeing up some space and doing a defrag tonight.

In the meantime, if anyone else has any further suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

I cleared up some space (I now have about 1.5GB free on C:) and began a defrag at about midnight. At 7:30am, it was 9% done.

I’m in for the long haul, it looks like.
