# How can I tell if I registered Microsoft software?

Several years ago, I bought a laptop (from a pawn shop) that had an older version of Access (possibly '97) on it. I bought the 2000 upgrade disc, but I don’t recall if I ever registered it with Microsoft. The laptop crashed and I had to use the recovery disc (I had to order it from Compaq). Unfortunately, Access did not come installed on the computer originally, so I was left with a useless upgrade disc. I’d like to see if I can sell it on eBay, but I don’t want to do so if I’ve already registered it.
Is there a way to check with Microsoft to see if it is indeed registered?

Are you referring to Activation?
If so, Windows 2000 does not require activation.
If you infact meant registration… oops! I dunno. 🙂
