Very immersive. And then there’s Silent Hill 2, with the ever-delightful monster porn.
As for The Ring, I must admit I’ve never seen it. Most reviews I read about it said it wasn’t that scary. What am I missing?

Okay, I’m soooo like u! Last night I watched woman in black 4 the first time and as soon as the dolls turned their heads and sum person screamed the clock striked 12 and the whole house had a power cut. I was sooo scared. I live alone so when I went 2 bed everything was so quite. I listened 2 my iPod 4 a bit but soon it ran out of charge. I kept on thinking as soon as I closed my eyes she would be there. I lay awake then suddenly sum thing fell on the floor. I thought it was my sisters daughters dolls coming 2 get me, but I figured it was just my coat falling offi it’s hanger or sum thing. I couldn’t get 2 sleep 4 bout 7 nights.
Solution:

Tell yourself that what you’re afraid of isn’t as bad as, say, zombies.
EZ 4 U 2 say

For future reference, I found that it was the music accompanying the film that really creeped me out.
try watching the scary bits with the sound muted and subtitles on (not that they tend to say a lot in those scenes!)
www.Cuteoverload.com it’ll fix ya right up
Welcome to the SDMB, Dally. Since the person in question watched the movie ten years ago, presumably all nightmares have been resolved my now.
I’m going to lock this – if people would like to start a thread about scary movies, probably Cafe Society would be a better place.
