# How can I watch digital media on my TV, which does not have a USB port

Glad to hear. I’ve been using Plex for about a month now and find the convenience is what makes the chromecast worthwhile for me.

Glad to hear Plex is working.

I set up Plex for my mother-in-law a year or so ago, but i much prefer a system that will read directly from a networked computer or network file storage, rather than requiring an intermediate server.

I also found that Plex was a bit too finicky about recognizing and identifying some files.

Hahaha, it was working. A plex input option showed up on my smart TV and I streamed onto it. It worked but in a few hours it totally died. No idea what that ws about. It isn’t casting via chromecast and the app on my tv is gone. I’ll figure it out.
