I have a non-windows socket printer attached to a windows network. It prints from a proprietary application.

I have a vbscript that can sound an alarm when a print job enters a windows print queue…unfortunately, jobs to this printer never enter a windows print queue.

Is it possible to write a simple vbscript that monitors the ip address and port in real time…and sets off an alert when the traffic surges past a certain level?

If you wanted to help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
The IP address and port are: 10.51.1.135 port: 3009

Help please! Thanks!

Matt
