# How come I'm relegated to Guest status now?

What happened? I thought I was, and would continue to be a paid member?

And besides, what’s the difference and why should I care?

Maybe you missed your renewal date? Or it’s a glitch in the Board software, we’ve had a few.

You are probably seeing ads now, members don’t.

Oh, and you don’t have a location showing.😃

Your subscription lapsed on 12-28-2008, so to be a paid member again, you’ll just have to renew.

I’m not up on all of the glitches still going on but curious: although Leaffan hasn’t said whether he got one or not, is not receiving renewal notifications one of the glitches?

I’m not aware of it being a problem, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t surfaced as one. Most often, however, the lack of a notification stems from anti-spam software on the receiving mail sever, an outdated e-mail address in the User CP, accidental deletion, etc…

Ah… Thanks all.

I did in fact receive a renewal message, but then thought that the board was now free. I didn’t realize that paid memberships were still a valid option.

I will renew shortly.
