The best way to avoid this problem is to put half of the bread in a large ziploc freezer bag and freeze it. then when you’ve used the first half, you defrost the second half and there you are.

I’ll tell you why Michael.
Because dough speads out in the pan, if you only put enough dough in for a half loaf, it will spread out and you will have a full loaf of flat bread.
Go to the store, buy a cookbook and a set of mini bread pans. Bake your own.

I’m blown away by the intelligence (gush!!)
I must say I don’t have experience making bread. Though, I do have experience in making love. Alright, then why don’t the bread makers cut the whole loaves in half, package them and sell them. I am 100% sure half-loaves would outsell the whole loaves.
It’s a product that should be on the market, but it’s not.

Here’s an idea, if you think there is a market for half loaves of bread, start a business making whole loaves, fuck em and then cut em in half and sell them. After all

sigh…because the exposed slice from the middle would be prone to drying out and people don’t want to buy pre-stale bread. BTW, Mike, are you aware that many bakeries DO sell _smaller_ loaves of bread? Not precisely a half-loaf, I know, but perhaps it would suffice as a substitute…
