How common are two-tone eyes?

Mine don’t match. And the left eye has two-tonedness going on all by itself, as well.

I’ve been told that my eyes change color. I always thought that they were green, but I’ve been told that they change from green to grey to gold. Seems to have irritated most of my girlfriends for some reason. (I remember one of them saying, “What the hell color are your eyes anyway?”) Nearly everyone in my family has brown eyes.

Aren’t hazel eyed people most likely to have two tone eyes? Hazel eyes tend to look like a combination of brown and green eyes, sometimes with flecks of gold.

Not to mention that eye color changes as we age. My eyes were deep chocolate when I was a kid. I am old now and they are much paler and more tending to hazel.

being second in family … i’m the only one who’s eyes change color. normal is grayish-blue … occasionally, based upon certain emotions, changes to a bright opalescent/iridescent blue. as for age … still remains this paradoxy even though i am in my 60’s.
