Damn! I’m in Chicago (actually, I’m in the suburbs, but that’s nothing to be proud of) and I know I’ve heard a few other people mention that they live around here, but I don’t know who (whom?). All kinds of parties going on here. I do live in the same city as one other, but I don’t get out that much. After I get home I have to wear that invisible fence collar. ChrisCTP: Bill Bryson in his travel books describes des moines as a place where people either stay or leave as soon as they are out of high school. I don’t think he’s anyting really nice about his hometown. I can just see you folks meeting somewhere. Perhaps in a cyberbar, so that when you can’t get over the appearance and voice of your net friends, you can go back to the computers in your booths. ---

OldBroad: I downplay that I live in Colorado because I loooong to be back in Michigan’s UP. I’ll get there someday, I will! hehehee… Boulder’s a funny place, yes… I actually live in Longmont. But nobody’s ever heard of Longmont, and everybody knows Boulder, so I usually tell people I live in the Boulder area. Or use that old joke… “just to the right of Boulder.” ---
