Careful. Some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb.

> Yeah, but allowing Batman to have a Ysalmari stinks of that whole 1960’s “Bat Shark Repellant” silliness. Like when Superman cornered some two-bit thief, and the guy just happened to have a chunk of Kryptonite in his pocket.
>
> I’ve been assuming that Vader is invading Earth. In which case, I can’t see how Batman could possibly know about the Ysalmari. Even if we grant that a Rebel or two are around to advise Batman, chances are they wouldn’t know about the Ysalmari either. They’re almost completely unknown, and their first appearance in the Star Wars EU is in a story set five years after Vader’s death.
>
> I can’t believe how much thought I’m putting into this. God, I’m such a geek.

He’s prepared Batman. No one knows how, he just finds them. 🙂

Batman, using his biology/chemistry skills, creates a gas that has two unique properties.

1. It can not be filtered out through Vader’s breathing apparatus.

2. kills mitochondrians (sp?)

Vader, now finding himself completely disconected from The Force ™, is now easy pickings for Ace the Bathound.

> 1960s Adam West Batman: take the anti-Force pill from the Utility Belt. Then he can just beat Vader in a swordfight.

Don’t be silly, Batman doesn’t have an anti-Force pill in his Utility Belt.

He has a _Bat_-anti-force pill. Sheesh.

Yeah, but is this one strong with the force? :dubious: 😉🆒
My take: Batman would take the pay-the-doorman approach and hire Luke.

Batman would get Luke to keep Vader busy and then take him out, probably sacrificing Luke along the way.

Upon arriving in a new galaxy our friend Bruce Wayne realizes that his wealth on earth is of no consiquence . He doesn’t have any midicholorians so the Jedi giggle at him behind his back.

Even worse everyone has purchased a Boba Fett starter kit so his utility belt is a mere novelty.

His Batman uniform doesn’t even turn heads in this new land of aliens and strange unearthly creatures.

Soon it becomes all to clear that he’s just a plain old humanoid.

As time goes on his stomach begins to growl and he faces a cold hard fact… he’s got to find a job.

We catch up with our hero years later. He has found work as a toll booth operator on Alderan. He’s one of the better employees and they may even promote him next month. He looks up into they sky and notices a bright light. “Hmmm. That’s strange.”, he muses to himself…

THE END

Alternative: Upon arriving in Gotham City, Darth Vader realizes this primitive planet lacks the technology even to recharge the batteries in his life-support suit. Whether he runs into Batman or not, he’ll be dead in a couple of days.

I’m with you, but Bruce does possess incredible engineering skills, better than your average human. I suspect that would give him an advantage. Remastered dialogue of A New Hope:

Imperial Officer: We’ve analized the fighters’ attack pattern and there is a weakness. Should I prepare your shuttle?
Tarkin: In our moment of glory? You overestimate their chances.
I.O.: But sir, there is this… Bat Shaft I’m particularly worried about.
Tarkin: Nonsense!

Ka-Boom!
