And there’s lots of places you can’t build basements, or at least not without installing sump pumps and things like that. “How deep is the Ocean?” was by Irving Berlin. One presumes he would not have appreciated a factual answer - Hey, Irving, about 7 miles at the Marianas Trench, and about 50 miles to the ionosphere … ---
