Something occurred to me: They could change B4’s appearance. After all, his “skin” is just a cosmetic shell, so why couldn’t they change actors and just say something about B4’s appearance having been altered? Heck, Picard or Riker could request such a change because it could be too uncomfortable working with a guy who looks exactly like their late friend. ---

Well, I don’t believe that Geordi or any of Data’s other friends (either the characters or the real life actors) would want to consider B4 as Data. Indeed I doubt whether B4 himself, having assimilated Data’s memories, would wish to deny the fact that he was B4 and take on the role of Data. I think that all (the characters) would be more comfortable thinking of him as Data’s brother with most of Data’s memories. Which is why I compared it to Dax. There’s a new character who also happens to contain the memories of an old character. I just hope that the actors have the clout to tell any writers, directors or producers who wish to make B4 into Data an emphatic “No! Write it another way.” ---

Well, I liked Nemesis. Yes, it could have been called “The Wrath of Shinzon”, not only for the memory dump and sacrifice, but also for the cat-and-mouse space battle scenes between two heavily damaged ships. But hey, it was fun, had nice effects and good rousing violence, and actually had the balls to shake things up (like Riker and Troi leaving the ship, besides Data buying the box condo). How about \*\* Star Trek - They All Really Freaking Die This Time and we’re going to line up all the actors who have ever been in any Star Trek film or series and behead them, along with all the writers, staff and crew to make sure no other Star Trek movies or series are ever made again.\*\*? A darkened theater … Data’s just been exploded … everyone’s silent except for my friend and her brother next to me, who’re whispering and chuckling furiously about something. You’ve all been in a situation where it gets really quiet and someone comes off with something that almost makes you spit up your Hawaiian Punch. The theather goes quiet, the mood gets somber … and Steve chokes out " … it’ll have to be ‘The Search for the Molecule!’" I couldn’t stop laughing through the rest of the movie, even if the rest of the theater kept looking back at us for being disruptive (hey, I’ve been a fan for 11 years; I can make fun all I like at this point!). But I sure missed Barclay. He should’ve showed up at the wedding. Speaking of which, CaptMurdock, are you by chance an “A-Team” fan? ---
