I think its sad that we find ourselves in a situation where demagogues seem to run the country. It might even be tolerable if the demogogues were seriously intersted in the welfare of their country, but they’re not. ---

I’ve got to think that cable TV, in some part, is responsible. Back in the days of the Big 3+PBS, you had to get past the old school head honchos to get on TV. A little too Howard Sternish and you’d find yourself on your butt. But with the 80s rise in the number of outlets and the increased fight for ratings, Limbaugh could move from radio to TV.
