I have many dozens of hours of tattoo work done by friends with whom I barter. Hanging around the shop I’ve seen many people who wind up with a shite tattoo because they wanted one done on the cheap. ---

This barely even registers on my badtattoodar. I have seen so, SO much worse. At least the intent was good–you can’t say that about a guy with a badly-drawn pink stripper poledancing on his cheek (ugh). The size is the only thing that makes this tattoo even slightly remarkable. ---

Maybe they were supposed to be [Kirby Dots](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirby_dots)? 😃 I wish I could find a link to this one photo of a tattoo. It showed an original photograph of someone’s girlfriend, reasonably OK looking, and the botch job that was made of the tattoo copy. ---

It’s well drawn, cleverly uses the guy’s physiology to enhance the tat’s effect, demonstrates a healthy attitude towards the dude’s handicap, and is located on the body so the guy can cover it up in formal environment. My only real criticism is that it’s a dolphin, and dolphin tattoos (indeed, most cetacean-centric art in general) are pretty lame. Certainly, it’s nowhere near as bad as, say, this [marginally work un-safe tat](http://tribaltats.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/98372f1278110907.jpg.jpg). Just to pick one of the literally thousands of unspeakably awful tattoos that are out there on the internet. ---
