It was listed on the http://www.iantheterrible.com links page. I read the articles for about a year, and then discovered the message board and registered.
Same here. Tho I didn’t read the board much on AOL, cause their boards sucked ass. Spent most of my time going thru the archived articles, especially the Sex one. cough Once they switched to the web, I started watching the board more.
I owe it all to the Great Gazoo!
As has been said before by me:
Discovered the books when I saw “caloric content of sperm” in a sentence in the first book. Happened upon the website a year or so later. Delurked to respond to the seti@home thread.
From the Snopes message board.
And I heard about Snopes from the about.com Urban Legends column
And I heard about the about.com thing when I was trying to find out about an urban legend I’d seen
I actually used the site for research!
Amazing huh.
It was when my family decided to enter the ninteenth century and finally get a car! This was back around March of 1998
(As a side note, I will finally get my sixteenth-year birthday present. I will be learning to drive!) It turned out to be a stick shift. Since mom and I didn’t want my dad to destroy the car before I could get to drive it, we started looking for stick tips. So we were looking for how to drive, and brake a stick shift. This was one of the sites that Ask Jeeves found. To slow a stick-shift, should you brake or downshift?
Well, I surfed around and saw a few of their old articles. I enjoyed the writing, mainly so I came back every week. Well By March 1999, AOL stopped wasting money on Cecil’s jets and jacuzzis and threw him and his board out the door. Thus this board was born, and I joined.
