I married the guy from high school after reconnecting on Facebook.

We met our junior year of high school, in the spring. I was moving instruments from the band hall to the concert hall at the university. When Tony and a mutual friend of ours walked by on their way to the weight room, they kindly offered to help. Not being stupid, I accepted - I played tympani in symphonic band! And that was that, mostly. We smiled and nodded our way through high school (He was a football player. I was on the math team and in the band. Our social circles didn’t overlap much.) After high school, we ran into one another once or twice, but nothing romantic, as we were both married to other people during those meetings.

A few years ago, I was single, and Tony and I were friends on Facebook. He was going through an ugly breakup, and frankly, whining a lot. I invited him to join a group of my friends (which included one mutual friend) for a platonic social outing. It became lots less platonic.

Married 4 years now, two daughters, and very, very happy together.

It took me until this year to figure out that our x0 anniversaries are the same years as my husbands y0 birthdays. For years he’s quite happy to tell everyone it was great that I never remembered because he never gets in trouble for forgetting but now - now I’ve got a system! He still won’t get in trouble but I plan to claim bragging rights.

> Many people say that a relationship is hard work, and that even though there are highs and lows, a good couple can put forth the effort to make it work and that it’s worth it in the end. I say that’s a load – I’ve learned that when you find the right person, there’s no work, no lows – just 787 perfectly awesome days (and counting!).

That is brilliant. I’ve been playing the same strangers at Scramble With Friends for months and chatted with them a little, and wondered if it ever lead to anything more.

Not that I want it to in my case. I met my GF on OKCupid 17 months ago. Been living together about six months now.
