# How do I add a poll?

I must be incredibly dense tonight, I can’t figure out how to add a poll to a new thread I wanted to create in IMHO.

I’m on my iPhone using Safari browser.

Use the poll builder. Follow the instructions here:

Follow up question: How do I add a poll when I can’t get information from the page engineer\_comp\_geek linked to because it says the page doesn’t exist when I click on the link?

Start a post or thread. In the text box for your post, click the gear icon on the top right, and choose the “Build a Poll” option. From there it’s pretty self explanatory.

Edit: also make sure the resulting markup is on its own line. It should look like this:

`[poll type=regular results=always chartType=bar]`  
`# example poll`  
`* poll option`  
`[/poll]`
