You didn’t put a blank line in front of the URL. Literally, if the URL isn’t the first line of the post, put a blank line separating the previous paragraph and the URL line. And if the URL isn’t the last line of the post, put in a blank line separating the URL line from the subsequent paragraph. ---

@pjd. There are some websites which refuse to let you link directly to their images. When they detect a request from bare link like that, instead of giving back the image, they give back nothing. It appears that your site is one of those. There’s nothing wrong with your link. Also, IME @gnoitall’s advice just above is never necessary. But it can be a useful crutch to prevent inadvertently having extra blanks on the start or end of the line with the url. Which extra blanks are invisible, but stymie the inline image feature. ---

ETA, although i just tested it in the test thread, and it worked with no preceding blank line and it showed up fine. 🤷 ---

Flickr has always been shite as a picture host, and their software sucks. Better use imgur, you don’t even need an account to upload photos. ---

Just the one image. You can see the link…there is nothing connecting it to a URL that identifies you (or anything else you have in your account). ---

Excellent. I’m pretty sure I tried this once before, a few years ago, and it showed an entire gallery and I couldn’t see how to stop it from doing that. Either they changed something since, or I just did it wrong. Anyway, that’s good to know. Thanks. ---

Maybe, in theory, there is some info to be had in all that but good luck figuring it out before our sun turns into a white dwarf and the earth is dead. It is 2.3 × 10^122 possibilities…more than the number of atoms in the universe (by a long shot). I think you are pretty safe. ---
