# How do I cut an MPEG file?

In effect I want to cut an mpeg file but still View both halves seperate from one another…without having to reJOIN them again…Anyone know what program I can use that will allow me to do this?

A few months ago, I downloaded a program called [mpeg scissors](http://www.tfm.profm.ro/mpegedit/mpegscis.html). It purportedly did just that. However, my processor (PII, 300mhz) wasn’t fast enough to do the job.
