# How do I display my Chromebook on an HD TV or Monitor?

My model of Chromebook does not have HDMI out ports, which is frustrating. I’m a teacher and it was provided for me at work, but it would obviously be nice to connect it to my display screen at least once in awhile.
My understanding is that despite its lack of HDMI out ports, it can be somehow connected to display. I think I saw someone doing that at a staff meeting.
My specific model of chromebook is:
Acer C933
Model: N19Q2
It has a USB port and a charging port on both sides, using the typical Android charging port(USB C?).
I see no other ports.
I wonder if some kind of dongle can connect to my ports and connect the other end to an HDMI cable.
Even if I do that, how do I tell my chromebook to display/mirror through that cable?

It will allow you to turn one of the usb-c ports to hdmi.

The terminology for connecting a computer wirelessly to a TV is “casting.” This should help you look for relevant instructions and support information.
It’s not as good as connecting with a physical wire; there’s always some lag. Also, your machine may or may not support this for one or another reason.
I googled “acer chromebook cast to tv” and got this page as my top result.

Older and possibly cheaper modern TVs, like mine, require a Chromecast device connected to an HDMI port on the TV to cast to it from Google devices.

Easiest would be to cast it wirelessly. You need a Chromecast device that connects to the HDMI port of the TV, even a Roku device would work. Many newer TVs come with Casting abilities built in. All you have to do is to ensure your laptop and the device are on the same Wi-Fi network. Then click the three dots on the top right of your browser - and click "Cast’. You should see options for casting the tab, the browser or your screen.
