I searched but came up with nada. You know, where someone posts a word or phrase, strikes it through or crosses it out and adds a different word or phrase. Usually for comic effect. So anyhow, how do I do that? Thanks. ---

An easy way to see how something is coded, just find a post that’s formatted that way, then quote the post. The text in the quote box will show the formatting. So, **bold** , _italic_, underline, you see are just B, /B, I, /I and U, /U. ---

How come the strikethrough option doesn’t appear as a button along with bold, italic, etc? ---

Yes, we should have a full-featured word processor text editor implemented with [sub]subscript[/sub], [sup]superscript[/sup], and [del]strikethrough[/del] options, along with **bold** , _italic_ and underline! 😃 ---

Whoever made the modification didn’t feel like also adding the (much more complicated) code to make it show up in the GUI. Same for superscript and subscript. This is also why different boards which have that that feature often use different tags for it. ---

You can also do lots of weird combinations, interesting a sub or superscript can wind up with two slashes (in different colors even) if you do it right [del][COLOR=“gray”]Trademark[sup][COLOR=“Red”][del][COLOR=“Indigo”]TM[/del][/COLOR][/sup][sub][del][COLOR=“brown”]TM[/del][/COLOR][/sub][/COLOR][/del][/COLOR] may not display right if your browser handles things differently, tho eta: does not look right in Chrome ---

But I personally would find it easier to use than remembering or looking up ALT+0153. ---

Incidentally, in at least some versions of Explorer (though not Chrome, annoyingly), you can get quick italic, bold and underline tags by typing Control-I, Control-B and Control-U. _ **test** _ There are probably others as well, but I haven’t run the entire keyboard. ---
