Yes. Yes, I know it sounds straightforward.

New laptop. I try to open a video link and I’m informed that I need to upgrade my flash player. I click on the [link](http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash) it provides, and I’m informed that “We are unable to locate a Web player that matches your platform and browser.”

So, instead I go directly to the Firefox Add-Ons page. When I click on the Adobe Flash Player download button I get, you guessed it “We are unable to locate a Web player that matches your platform and browser.”

My platform is Windows XP Professional. WTF?

Thanks.

ETA: I’m at work. Is this a firewall thingy? Heck I was able to download Firefox, so I can’t imagine it would be. Would it?

Try downloading it directly from Adobe and installing it without FF open.
