# How do I erase a website address from my IPhone?

Somehow I pressed an ad for the US Coast Guard (go coast [guard.com](http://guard.com)) and now if I type G for google that’s the first suggestion I get. It’s minorly irritating but I just wasn’t sure how to look up the right question.

What browser app are you using?

In Edge you go to the 3-line “hamburger” menu on the bottom right of the browser, then choose History, then search history for [guard.com](http://guard.com), click “Edit” at the bottom right, then check the box to the left of [guard.com](http://guard.com), then “Delete.”

Looks like Chrome is almost exactly the same, only the first bit is a 3-dot menu.

In Firefox you click the 3-line “hamburger” menu at the bottom right, then choose History, and click the trash can at the bottom left.

Unfortunately your only options are to delete everything from today, today & yesterday, or everything. You can’t selectively delete.

I think you can selectively delete if you click on the offending page, right  
click and select “delete page”.
