What operating system?
On windows, go to a dos prompt and type “ipconfig” (without the quotes, of course). If you want more detail (DNS servers and such) type “ipconfig /all”

This will give you the IP address that the world sees. Depending on your ISP, whether you’re on a network behind a NAT router or if you’re using a proxy server, this may not be the same as the true IP address of your computer.
As **Berkut** says, it depends on what you’re looking for and why you want to know.

**and thanks Q.E.D.**
Basically, my webhost wants to know my IP Address. Sometimes I can’t go to my own website ([www.1728.com](http://www.1728.com)) unless I use the IP Address for my site (which they gave me).
So, now they want to know the IP Address of _my computer_.

In that case, **Berkut** ’s link is just the ticket, since that will show you the IP address that [1728.com](http://1728.com) will see when you connect to it.
