# how do i find out what my IP address is?

i need to figure out what my IP is for my computer. i have no idea how.  
i have to use AOL because that is the only thing out here. normally i just open that and browse through IE.

if there are any other relevant questions that you need to know to help me, don’t hesitate to ask. i will check my mail every five minutes.

in NT, go to a dos prompt, and type ipconfig  
in 9x, go to a dos prompt, and type winipcfg
