Why, exactly, is this tacky? A longtime fan who’d like to have one small contact with the object of their admiration?
I say Marino would be a real jerk if he ignored his die-hard fans. I’ve never met the man, but from what I’ve seen on “Inside the NFL” he’s seems like a nice guy. The problem is getting your letter (nice imagery btw) past lower level bureaucracy and into his hands. The only two things I can think of are your brute forth approach and networking. You have between now and September to ask everyone you know if they know anyone associated with Dan Marino.
