# How do I get regular backgrounds back for Facebook text posts?

By backgrounds, I mean those colors it lets you turn your text posts.
Most of them are Hanukkah related for me and the rest are super tacky. I just want the old plain color backgrounds.
Anyone know how to make those come back?
Yes, the color backgrounds are annoying if over used. Still.

Default is “original” or plain white. The options to choose a color or background are offered to you (while you’re typing the post) but you don’t have to select any of them.
Wait. Are you asking about OTHER people’s posts? If so, well, they get to post in whatever obnoxious color scheme they choose.

If your post is long enough, the color options disappear. So if you’re trying to get rid of it in your own post, just keep typing.

I actually mean that all of my “color” options are holiday ones and fancy hearts, etc. I just want plain old “blue” or “red” and so forth.

Ah, I dig. I don’t think you can do anything about that. Facebook giveth, and Facebook taketh away.
