I’m not sure how to get rid of them permanently, but if you want to get rid of them for a session, right click on one and it will give you a list of all available toolbars and which ones are active. Click on any of the active ones you want to get rid of and it will disappear.

Right click on one of them, it should give you a checklist; uncheck the ones you no longer want.

If some of them were installed as the result of some agressive adware, you may have to do a little more research, since they may come back when you restart IE. In that case, let us know which ones are giving you trouble.

I second that the unwanted toolbars are a result of adware. I’ll be the first in a long line of dopers suggesting that you immediately download adaware, from [http://www.lavasoftusa.com](http://www.lavasoftusa.com) and run it. It will most likely get rid of these toolbars and lots of other unwanted crap.

This program is an utter necessity these days.
