# How do I get XP to log me on automaticaly?

I’m trying to get my computer to logon automatically from startup but I just can’t seem to find it. Any ideas?

Go to Start, Run, and type in **control userpasswords2**. Click OK and then uncheck the box for “Users must enter a user name and password for this computer”. Enter the username and password for the account you want as the default login.

Yet another way to do it: Install [Microsoft’s Power Toys](http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx), specifically TweakUI. Navigate to “Logon -\> Autologon”, and fill in the appropriate values.
