Do I just copy and paste links or is there a secret way to do it on this message board. ---

You have three options: 1. Just copy and paste: [http://www.google.com](http://www.google.com) 2. If you want to [make it fancy like this](http://www.google.com), type what you want to be a link, highlight that text, press the button that looks like a globe with links of chain on it, then paste the URL in the box that pops up. 3. Type it all out longhand like this (but replace the “{” with “[”). {url=[http://www.google.com](http://www.google.com)}What you want to be a link{/url} If you ever see coding that you want to see how it works, just click the “Quote” button on that post and it’ll show you. ---

If you wish to see all of your posts and started threads, just visit your profile. Click any page where your username is at the top right alongside of “Welcome.” For example, “Welcome, [chiefwhitesr](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php)” Then click the Statistics tab and you will see “Find all posts by chiefwhitesr” and “Find all threads started by chiefwhitesr”. This will save you a ton of searching for any threads or posts you have made. ---

Any particular reason why i wouldn’t be able to copy and paste a link? [http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=13889453#post13889453](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=13889453#post13889453) I am clicking in the address bar, copy and paste but the kink shows up for half a second and then is gone - could this be due to a news website trying to stop folks from linking? ---
