I paid $120 to have 3 doors re-keyed and the combination of a safe reset. The locksmith had boxes of used parts in his van that had been pulled from other houses; seems like a fine way to go about it.
Even if you are replacing the entire locking mechanisms, locks, knobs, latches, etc., it seems $800 is just way too much.
