# How do I select multiple folders in Vista?

How do I select multiple folders in Windows Vista? I’ve Googled this, but haven’t found an answer.

Same as most others OSes. Hold down shift and click to select a range of folders, or hold down control and click to select separate folders.

You can also click-n-drag to make a box to select all the files within the box.

I have tried this in Windows Explorer and several other file managers. It works for files, but not folders. Or am I missing something?

I don’t think [this link](http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/157271-select-multiple-files-fix.html) is very well set out, but it may hold the answer to your problems.

(I do not use Vista)
