# How do I sign up?

I live in Canada, do no have charge cards and I haven’t a clue as to how to execute a transfer of Canadian funds that will be clearly delineated for the purpose of subscribing to the SDMB. Help please.

If you can and want to, you can set up a Paypal account to pay out of your bank account.

Otherwise , go to [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=245878) and get in touch with one of the Dopers who are (depending on your situation) offering to sponsor subscriptions for Dopers who can’t afford the fee or act as intermediaries for Dopers who don’t have credit cards.

Thanks Lib, but things are getting clearer now. Just tried to e-mail you, but the SDMB won’t kick out your address for me. Now I’ve just got to wrestle with Paypal to figure out how to connect them with my bank account.
