# How do I store a large bag of rice

Living in a big rice producing region, I am often given large bags of rice as gifts. I have a 10 kg tub under my sink in which I keep most of it, then another 3 kg tub which I have on a shelf near my rice cooker for convenience’s sake. If I ever get more rice than that, I just keep it in the bag until I have room in my tub.

Doing that I’ve never had a problem with rodents or insects and the rice is always delicious. But I suppose my place in general has never had a rodent or insect problem.
