I prefer living in the city for various reasons but there are valid reasons to live in the country.
Ironically when I lived in the country sometimes common stores like grocery stores were closer. In the country the grocery store may be 3 minutes away. In the city, if you live in an isolated food desert it may take a 20 minute drive to get to a good grocery store.
