# How do post counts work in the 'views' column?

I’ve always been of the impression that once I view a thread, subsequent visits are not registered in the page views column. Is this correct, or if I view a thread fifteen fifteen times will those fifteen visits be reflected in the view count when the column updates?

Are you asking if views are only “unique”? i.e. multiple visits by one individual count as one?
No, I don’t think so. It counts _all_ visits, even re-visits.

That’s what I thought.
It took me a while to realize that post counts don’t show up in real time…that there’s a lag where they don’t go up at all and then they suddenly update, and this caused me to think multiple visits didn’t count because the count didn’t increase after I made multiple entries into the same thread.
