# How do the current list of Mods identify themselves as to gender?

It’s not a rule that’s written down, AFAIK, or I’d have said “rule”. It’s just what the mods indicated in the [several](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/misogyny-on-the-sdmb-sept-2018-edition/821899/11) [ATMB](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/my-humble-suggestion-at-fixing-the-misogyny-stuff/822017) [threads](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/disputation-and-the-straight-dope-message-board/843977) about misogyny that constituted a more-than-year-long recurring conversation in this forum , and in [concurrent](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/whats-the-anti-misogyny-policy/826085) and [subsequent](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/the-banning-of-shodan/853763/2) rulings.
