to change the battery you use a nickel to open the little silver disk on the underside. (Left loosie, righty tighty…) If the problem is greater than a new battery, it will probably be cheaper to buy a new swatch for, what $35 than try & have it repaired. JMHO. Unless you have a valuable collector’s Swatch, in which case, find a dealer.

"Unless you have a valuable collector’s Swatch, in which case, find a dealer. " Easier said than done. That market went South about 3-4 years ago.

I had a swatch for three years. I was a great watch, silver band with the dark blue background. The problem changing the battery is not how to open, it’s how to close it. The metal swatch watches need a special press to seal them shut. I had to call several watch stores before finding one that could reseal the cover. Call around and ask. I’m sure you’ll find a smith that can replce it for you. BTW- it was only 8$ said and done.

The jewelery counter at the local Wal\*Mart had the tool needed to close the back on my collecter’s Swatch. I was at the end of my rope when I called them. They fixed it, no charge.
