# How do we destroy the myth that politicians control the economy?

I’m fully aware they are members of NATO.

It won’t matter if the US sits it out and ignores its obligations. Particularly after DJT allows and encourages Putin to crush Ukraine.

I expect the new administration will provide whatever weaponry Putin wants to seize the Baltics.

Plus, one of the goals for the new POTUS and his overlords at Project 2025 is to destroy NATO. What they want won’t matter much before too long. It may take 12-18 months but it will happen.

The European leaders already despise Trump from his last term. They will not sit by idly and let Russia take what it wants. Especially not if there is even a hint that Trump is arming Putin.

Governments absolutely can control the price of eggs and much else. Richard Nixon (turn, spit) used price freezes effectively, as did many liberal democracies during World War II. Governments can create low-cost housing, encourage coops, and much, much more. They don’t because capital would scream, fund their opponents, and make coup noises if they tried. And many people have been brainwashed by the mainstream economics taught in schools, universities, and media, and repeated endlessly by business and their politicians, into thinking such ideas are crimes against god, nature, and humanity.
