Maybe you’ve seen this story or one related to it. > **[2 millennial teachers were punished for posting adult content on OnlyFans....](https://fortune.com/2023/12/11/teachers-onlyfans-fired-employment-discrimination-sex-work-gig-economy/)** > > “We’re a gig economy now and millennials have more student debt than we know what to do with," one attorney said. "There’s all sorts of reasons why people would reach out for outside income like sex work, like OnlyFans.” I’m honestly not sure where I stand on this. On the one hand, adults have the right to free expression, and to make money by any legal means they like. It shouldn’t be anybody else’s business if someone wants to make videos of themselves having sex and share them online. On the other hand, you don’t have to be a prude to see where it might be more difficult to teach middle-schoolers if they’ve seen your online sex videos. Lots of jobs have rules forbidding outside activities that interfere with your ability to perform the job, and I can see where this could fall afoul of one of those rules. The article goes into the potential legal issues, which might be interesting to hash out, but I’m also just interested in how other Dopers feel about this. --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/how-do-we-feel-about-teachers-fired-for-posting-homemade-porn/994614)._
