How do you define “copaganda,” and what do we do about it?

The Harry Bosch novels are pretty balanced - there are good cops, bad cops, people wronged by cops, criminal dirtbags and community activist assholes. Not all that far from real life.

On the other hand, the Bosch novels (by Michael Connelly) are uniformly contemptuous of Internal Affairs. The mantra of “who watches the watchers” suggests that IA is generally composed of evil, self-righteous, out of control overlords.

I just ran across the series the L.A. Times did on Christopher Dorner, the ex-cop who went on a revenge-motivated murderous rampage in California. It’s excellent, non-agenda driven reporting.
