Cut it up and mix it up. Keep in mind that the only way I’ll eat a fried egg is fried **hard**. Vulcanized. Crispy around the edges and not even a _hint_ of liquid in the yolk. ---

Break the yolk (as runny as possible) so it runs over everything. Eat the egg and mop up the excess with toast/hashbrowns/etc. ---

Cut a circle around the yolk (over-medium), and eat the white first. Then put the entire yolk, unbroken, in my mouth, breaking it with my teeth, for a few seconds of heaven. ---

Eat the white, plop the yolk onto toast. Or break yolk and mop with toast. ---

Using your fork mash the yolk & white together, simultaneously sprinkling just the right amount of salt. (enough to make the egg taste savory but not salty) The yolk should be cooked but dippy enough to mix all the egg white in, mashed, but not too fine. My Daddy is the master of cutting up a fried egg. I know what I am having for breakfast! \>.\< ---

Random. If the yolk looks like it’s done just right I might go right for that. Otherwise, I’m just eating, no system for something like an egg. ---

Usually, if I’m eating a fried egg, it’s in a breakfast sandwich of some stripe. But if it’s an egg on a plate, I like it with toast so I can dip into a nice runny yolk. After that, I’m in the no real method camp. ---

This is completely wrong. First of all, there’s no point mixing it up if the yolk isn’t mixable. Secondly. one does not eat fried hard eggs. Put your over-easy/sunny side up eggs on top of your hashbrowns. Chop up the eggs with your fork, mixing the liquid yolks and wobbly whites together and letting the liquid run down into the potatoes. ---

I only like runny yolks, but not only do I cut up the egg and yolk and mix them together, I also chop up the bacon and mix it in with the chopped egg. ---

No need to mix things together, once the yolk oozes, just fork up pieces of the egg and dip them in the golden flow. Sop up any remainder with toast. ---

Generally they are the best part of any breakfast, but not with slimy nasty yolks on them. I’m 100% with you. Sunday I sent my eggs back twice and even had to get new forks each time, because there was still orange goo in the middle. I always tell them to cook the eggs over hard, then a few more minutes to be sure. So good that way, especially when the whites get crispy.
