I have a pair of the original-style Crocs that I sometimes use as house slippers in the summer (in the winter, wear warm, fuzzy slippers). I refused to jump on the Crocs bandwagon when they first became popular, but then they started making some that looked like regular shoes. I have a pair of these, which unfortunately seem to have been discontinued. Fortunately mine are holding up astonishingly well after years of use. I have narrow feet. Crocs are not meant for guys with narrow feet. That’s also true for many other shoe brands. ---

I will never wear them. My wife does. One time she told me she stepped in dog poop while wearing them. I told her it was a croc of shit. ---

My wife uses them because they’re the only shoes that fit her feet well. She has a wide toebox and a narrow heel and few women shoes accommodate that. ---

I have a winter pair and a summer pair. I keep them by the door and slip them on when I step out with the dogs. I also started wearing them out of the house to tai chi class because I do class barefoot and it’s easier to just slip my Crocs off and on than to deal with socks and shoes. They also are easier to keep on my feet, and have better support than flip-flops. My winter crocs are [Chewbacca Crocs](https://www.ebay.com/itm/124723817100) and they are the hottest motherfucking footwear ever. If I even attempt to wear them and do any sort of work beyond walking the length of my house, I start to sweat profusely. One time I absentmindedly slipped them on and went grocery shopping. I was mortified when I figured it out! (cuz I was sweating) Luckilly I shop late at night when nobody’s watching so I didn’t run into anyone I know. What’s up with the little spiky bumps on the inside of classic Crocs? They do not feel good on my feet. I think lots of non-Croc slides have these too. As for other people’s Crocs…meh, whatever. I have humongous feet and never have nice looking shoes so I’m the last person who should be commenting on other peoples’ footwear. ---

There’s a pair of the clog style by each door for things like taking out the garbage. Easy to slip on and off. They were gifts, and they work OK for the purpose. However, they can be very slick when the soles are worn, and/or the walking surface is wet. My mother-in-law was injured when she slipped in hers on her steep driveway. My spouse was injured pretty badly when she fell backwards on our deck steps, which were wet. (Concussion, back injury, injured nerve in arm). I have a pair that I do wear out and about in the summer, but they don’t look like Crocs. Yeah they’re much more foam than straight up plastic, but a fairly substantial foam that won’t just rip apart as you wear. Kids wear them for playtime and I’ve never seen a ripped pair (granted those would end up in the trash not on a resale site but still I’ve never seen one). And jellies of course had zero footbed support, although they were hella fashionable! hehe ---

My husband LOVES his Crocs and has been wearing them for years. He claims they’re the most comfortable slipper-type shoe he’s ever worn. Luckily he only wears them around the house. I hate them and think they are ugly. ---

It is pretty amazing the sheer types and styles of Crocs there are! There was a woman who was on national TV last weekend wearing Crocs. She showed up to the interview wearing [perfectly nice boots](https://www.monstersandcritics.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Tell-All-Before-the-90-Days-Season-5.jpg) and after a break she came back wearing [classic Crocs](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FQJ6gkYX0AIM7Mg?format=jpg&name=large) with socks. Granted, this is the 90 Day Fiance franchise so we’re not expecting much but to see her blatantly rock the Crocs on national TV made me cringe for her! ---

I’m familially obligated to like (and defend) Crocs. I have a pair of the Santa Cruz style with a little graphic of Mickey Mouse that I bought while at Disneyland. You do a shit-ton of walking and those shoes are a godsend on my trips. When my brother found out I paid retail, he sent me a few of the gift cards he gets on the regular. ---
