The shootings, murders, sexual assaults, drug use, ‘unplanned donations’, looting, etc weren’t the first clue? How about the hypocritical racism, wall building, and armed check points? A radical mob is only good at destruction. ---

Oddly enough, even NPR this morning was talking to residents who were glad now that it was over. They felt like hostages before but now could talk freely about all the violence and anarchy that it had turned into with nobody in charge and everyone doing what they wanted. Imagine have to put up with graffiti everywhere and people fighting outside your apartment at all hours and people arguing who was in charge and such. ---

While this “experiment” was always doomed, it’s remarkable how quickly things descended into chaos and violence : four shootings, two of them fatal, in the space of a few weeks in one minute portion of a city. In the month of June CHAP was one of the most dangerous places on the planet. ---

That’s always been a somewhat rough area in the middle of the night, and gang violence is nothing new in the central part of the city. When teens shoot each other at 3am, it’s not because of CHAZ/CHOP. ---

You think it’s common for a such a small area to have two fatal shootings in 10 days? It’s not true even in the most violent cities in the world like Tijuana which has around 11 murders a month per 100000 people ---

The victims were denied emergency treatment, possibly life saving, because police, fire, and ambulances were denied access by CHOP members. Those circumstances don’t exist with garden variety, late night, downtown shootings. No, these shootings and deaths were precisely because of the special circumstances provided by CHOP. If the shootings were typical downtown Seattle Tuesday night fare, the city wouldn’t have sent in over 100 police officers with several vehicles on Wednesday morning. ---

Yeah, that’s what I thought. There’s not much in that except for the police contending that there were problems in CHAZ; your cite is from June 10. However, on June 11 the police [walked back that claim](https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/seattle-area-protests-updates-for-thursday-june-11/). So nothing. There were no armed “check points”. There was a single picture of an armed protester that Fox used multiple times to try to push that narrative. The Seattle Times did some [research that exposed Fox](https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/fox-news-runs-digitally-altered-images-in-coverage-of-seattles-protests-capitol-hill-autonomous-zone/). The shootings are terrible, of course, and need to be investigated. They rest of your claims appear to have no basis. ---

The city is facing a flood of lawsuits from businesses and residents in that area for basically allowing the damage to occur. This will get very expensive for Seattle. ---
