# How do you get home if you fly someplace and lose your ID?

My brother once got his ID stolen in the airport in Johannesburg (i.e. no time to get a replacement) and still managed to get home. I’m not clear on the details but it was basically insanely improbable, and it worked anyway.

He was coming home from a Commonwealth public speaking championship, so maybe he charmed them with his silver tongue or something.
