\*\*Dangerosa \*\*and I have these kind of awkward silences in sentences when we have to say MPSIMS. We’ve used M-P-S-I-M-S and empee-sims. In my head, it was something like “mpizums”. I think I will adopt mip-sims. It’s inaccurate, but scans well in sentences. ---

Same here, **Wile E** – just this morning I was thinking “I wonder if I’m pronouncing MPSIMS right when I say ‘empee-SIMS.’ Maybe I should ask or see if it’s been covered before.” Synchronicity, I tells ya! So anyway, count me as a vote for saying the M-P part as individual letters, followed by “Sims” like the game. ---

You are the closest to being correct! As I mentioned in the other Thread, it’s: Muh-Piz-Ums “M’pizums” also acceptible. I can’t believe this entire Thread started as a reponse to my use of “Muh-Piz-Ums” in the other Thread, BUT the discussion was started AFTER I left the computer for the day. So here I am, the one with the most important opinion on the topic of all, and I don’t get to chime in until Response #31! Nobody’s even going to see my contribution way down here! How ever will they know how to pronounce it now? ---

Years of SimCity 2000 playing have condemned me to always see it as “Miss Sim’s,” on a casual glance. “Mips Sims,” on a good day. ---

I think of it as if I were referring to a member of Parliament whose name is “Sims”; **M. P. Sims**. I dunno why, either. ---

Can’t all the “m’pizums” people read? It’s not MPISMS, it’s MPSIMS, which is clearly pronounced “Em Pee Sims”. ---

count me in for “mip-sims” FWIW, I pronounce IMHO as IMHOtep (usually in the zombieish intonation of the crowd scene from _The Mummy_) ---
