# How do \*you\* pronounce "forte"?

For tay for may … I mean me. And I would be among the ones to look askance/puzzled at someone pronouncing it fort.

From a [past thread on niche](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/how-do-you-pronounce-niche/738546/45). I now more often say neesh but used to exclusively say nitch, as that was how I heard it in college biology classes, exclusively.
